This document describes the modification and fixes made since version 1.0 of the software.
· Local traffic option removed from download quota settings
· Internet Gateway option added to configuration dialog. If you want the instance of CostAware that is running on a gateway machine to count all data downloaded by any machine on your local network, you will need to enable (check) the feature. However, if you do not wish to do so, you should leave this disabled (uncheck).

Logoff alert disabling bug

· Fixed hub related bug. CostAware would count traffic from other machines on a local net if an un-switched Ethernet hub were being used.
· Traffic lights hang on an occasion.
CostAware is primarily intended for measurement of network
traffic on a single computer directly connected to an ISP. It can however be
used on small local networks with or without a dedicated server computer
(Internet gateway).
An option has now been added to the configuration dialog (see above) that allows installation of CostAware on a gateway machine that is directly connected to an ISP and will enable counting of all data downloaded from the Internet to any workstation on the local network.
To use CostAware on a LAN where the router is built into the communication
interface (ADSL modem etc.), CostAware must be installed on all workstations on
the network and the quota split up. The sum of data downloaded to the
workstations is the total data downloaded.
